And historically, it was used by Native Americans who came here for fresh water.

Parents can also choose one of several private schools like Our Lady Queen of Angels, Carden Hall, Sage Hill, St. Andrews Presbyterian Preschool, and Newport Christian School. UC Irvine is also in close proximity as is the renowned Hoag Hospital.
Cherry Lake is centrally situated and is close to the 55 Newport Freeway, 73 San Joaquin Transportation Corridor, the I-5 freeway, and the Pacific Coast Highway. There are daily services, stores, restaurants, recreation, and entertainment all within minutes. The Fashion Island Mall offers stores such as Bloomingdale’s and Brooks Brothers.
